GEAR-UP Alumni Association
Website design and development for the GEAR-UP Alumni Association.
The Project
The GEAR-UP Alumni Association started as a way to bring GEAR-UP alumni together and share resources for first-generation college students and graduates. However, the GEAR-UP Alumni Association did not have a website to house the resources and information needed to guide GEAR-UP alumni and attract potential donors.
Design a website that will provide GEAR-UP alumni with tools and resources to succeed during and after college. The website also allows alumni to get involved either by joining committees or becoming a mentor to other GEAR-UP alumni. Potential donors now have a way to contribute and help the GEAR-UP Alumni Association expand.
Feature Prioritization
For the MVP, I focused on features that will enable the user to find the resources they need to get involved with the GEAR-UP Alumni Association. Users will also have the opportunity to learn more about the organization and have the ability to donate if they wish to do so.
Site Map
For the user goals, I took into consideration the primary actions we wanted users to take. These include learning more about the organization, donating, and getting involved in its programs.
Final Designs
The GEAR-UP Alumni Association will provide users with the ability to learn more about the organization as well as get involved through their programs. Sponsors and donors will also have an opportunity to discover all the great work the GEAR-UP Alumni Association is doing to help first-generation college students and graduates.
